Ingredients:
2 cups of filtered water
2 green tea bags, I used Lemon Ginger green tea since I was also planning to use a little ginger in my final dish.
1 1/4 cups of steel cut oats
1/2 a small red apple sliced into strips on a mandolin
About 8 -10 walnuts roughly chopped
sprinkle of pink himalayan sea salt
sprinkle of organic ginger
Directions:
Bring your water to a boil and add the tea bags. Turn off the heat and let the tea steep for about 4 minutes. Throw away your tea bags and add the oats and salt to your tea. Bring to a slow almost boil then reduce the heat to low and cover. Let your oats simmer in the tea for about 6 minutes or until the consistency you prefer. Place it in a bowl and top with apple slices, walnuts and a sprinkle of ginger.
